I just got a new environment created for testing of SharePoint 2010 and final thing was to get all test users synced in so started creating a connection to my DC through User profile Service Application’s Connection.
Suddenly below error popped out and it says about something “MOSS”. this is bit freaked me out since we were saying MOSS for earlier version of SharePoint !
by the way thought to check the major points and first thing was the Forefront Identity services.
Yes ! My forefront identity manager service was stopped but still User Profile Sync Service running. anyway I just started it manually and then tried to created the connection again.
It worked for me ..
